THANKSGIVING!

This year was my favorite Thanksgiving year so far. I can't tell you how much having two new members to the family adds so much joy! It was a year of firsts. Edward and Greta were born, Scott and I got married, and Scott's sister(Mary Margaret) got married. So we had a lot to be thankful for!

On Thanksgiving day, Scott and I had to pace ourselves. Since his family lives in town as well, we had two thanksgiving dinners. We started out at his parents for a feast at lunch and then we headed over to my parents in the afternoon for another feast at dinner (yes we were hurting by the end of the day:)) Anyone else do this?

It was sooo good to see Keith, Sarah, Greta, Johnny, Kari, Edward, my Uncle Steve, and Mary Margaret and Tyler. I am so grateful to the Lord for giving me such a wonderful family!

How do I pray for others?

In our community group at church our leader emailed us today to remind us to pray for each other. Sometimes I feel really scared when people ask me to pray for them because that is a huge responsibility! I especially felt that way after reading Ruth's blog recently. I really appreciate the verses he shared and I wanted to pass them on.

"How do we pray for each other? Well, as the Holy Spirit leads. The Bible says in Romans 8:26-27 ,"In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groans that words cannot express. And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints in accordance with God's will." Know one knows us better than God. As we continually pray for each other, submit to the will of the Holy Spirit to help you pray and to give you wisdom, knowledge, and understanding on how to pray for others."
