Johnny & Kari to Iowa:(

Johnny and Kari left for Iowa last Wednesday...We are so sad! We miss them so much already. I know my parents do as well especially since both their grandbabies are far now. I just wanted to say how much Johnny and Kari have meant to Scott and I. They have always been there with open ears and so much wisdom. I really look up to my brother, and was bawling when we had to wish them farewell. I know this is the Lord's plan for them, but it is still hard. We had them over (as well as Abby Kari's sister) before they left. This is pictures from that and one over at mom and dad's. Kari and I were holding our "babies";) Pray for them right now as they get settled into their new life in Iowa and as they look for a house to buy. We love you Johnny and Kari!

Isabelle Schuchard

Last thursday, Scott and I became parents...of a little puppy that is:) We will call her Izzy, which fits her perfectly. She is a yorkie that weighs 1.5 pds right now. We got her last thursday which marked her 7 wk old birthday. Both of us are already in love with her (although Scott claims we got her for me;)) She will prob only get as big as 4-5 pds.

Wow, let me tell you, when people say getting a dog is good practice for a baby, I may not doubt them now! She has been a full time job. For one, their ears are supposed to stand up straight so every two days we have to retape her ears for that purpose. She is a walking pee/poop disposal, and she hasnt had consistent sleeping habits at night yet. The first couple nights, we put her in our laundry basket by our bed and she slept fine, but last night was AWEFUL. She jumped out of the laundry basket twice and whined by the bed all night. So tonight after work we went and bought a crate (not a cage as scott has been referring to it as)) and hopefully tonight is better. But we love her, she has already brought soooo much joy to our little family. She is a tough tyke and thinks she is way bigger than she really is:) Any dog training tips would be nice!

Thursday night after getting home from picking her up. The kennel was out by Petite Jean Mountain (for those that have been there). She was the runt of the litter so she is going to be little but very spunky.

My favorite...peeking out at the world:)

Love this one too...who says she not daddy's girl??

Easter Weekend

So I thought Scott and I had the craziest Easter weekend, but I think Caleb and Anna tops it:) Scott's sister and fiancee were in town as well as everyone on my side which meant every night since last thursday was full! It was a great weekend, I really enjoyed seeing Greta (and sarah and keith:) and Edward (and johnny and kari:) they are both soooo cute and fun to hold....

Since moving into our house we have been receiving this Kraft magazine with recipes in it and I totally love it! I have been easing into cooking these days...I have never been a good cook but have been trying to get better:) so for Easter I made this strawberry cake from the kraft magazine...i think scott was a little surprised:)...it is hard trying to think of meals to eat every night but it is helping having this magazine so i wanted to give credit where credit is due....

Greta is sporting a razorback t-shirt:)

Good practice....

Our first lake trip of the year & Edward

Scott and I took our first trip to the lake yesterday...the weather here in Little Rock was just beautiful and we wanted to go so we did:) So after church we headed out, picked up Subway, and made the trip to Greers Ferry. It is about an hours drive, but so worth it...absolutely beautiful out there! On the way back, we stopped in at Johnny and Kari's to see Edward(and them as well;)) Edward is getting cuter every time I see him!! I just love him so much already! Kari's sister Katy is going to be here this week and with my sister coming in soon it will be one big party down here:) I cant wait...
