Just a little update on Eleanor! She started crawling about three weeks ago. Since then, it seems like she has really started growing up. She pulls herself up now. She loves her music table, people singing to her, crawling up the stairs, our big potted plant with dirt in it that she can eat:), and pulling out the drawers in the kitchen. I can't believe in just a couple weeks she will be ONE year old! We love you so much E!!

Our 10 month old
Eleanor will be 10 months old tomorrow...wow. She is scooting around. still not full on crawling yet. She has two bottom teeth, 1 top tooth and another top tooth coming in. She loves clapping her hands to Patty Cake:) She says da-da all the time, and Scott loves it too! She loves bathtime. When she hears the water running in the bathtub, she will scoot from her room all the way to the bathroom just so she can get in!:) we continue to be so thankful to God for the blessing she is to us.

My silly girl
NYC
Last week I flew to NYC on business. It was really fun and I'm glad I decided to go. Scott, my mom, and my mother in law were all so sweet to watch Eleanor while I was gone! I worked, went shopping, ate some great food, and saw mama mia!(which was way better than the movie)

it's fall!
Eleanor is now 9 months old!!!! She is such a happy and sweet little girl to play with:) I love it when she says "ma-ma" and "da-da"...melts my heart. Although she isn't full on crawling yet, she def finds a way to get around. She only has two bottom teeth. No top teeth yet. She loves Izzy. Every single time she sees her she starts giggling. I am just in LOVE with this precious little girl.
I am very happy that fall is here. Although as much as I hate to say this, I would love for the weather to be a little bit cooler so I can wear my sweaters and boots:) We've been watching a lot of football too and driving to Oxford a lot to watch the rebels play which has been really fun! This past weekend was actually the first weekend we were home in over a month!
Last week I took Eleanor to her first pumpkin patch. I think she had fun?! Next year it will be more fun when she actually knows what is going on. Probably the most fun she had was chewing on a dried corn cob hah! Oh and hanging out with her new friends from moms n more:)

a trip north

the plane ride
I went to visit my lovely sister last week, who lives in baudette, mn. If you dont know where that is, you're okay. not even people that live in mn know where that is. Prob because if you go into town you can see the canadian border. Yep that far north.
We had so much fun. For one, it was eleanor's first plane ride. And yes she did awesome. and she got to play with ALL of her cousins. yes my brother's family was up there too! she woke up early every morning we were there. and i was convinced it was because she was excited to see her cousins:) We had a fish fry. YUM. best.fish.i.have.ever.had. we went walking, we went shopping, we drank coffee, and ate at all the local places.
My sister sarah and her husband have been building a house for the last 4 years and are finally done. it was beautiful! nice and big with lots of windows.
it was so good to see my sister in her element. she has been up there for eight years now. It makes me sad that we live SOOO far away from each other esp now that we have kids around the same age. just happy for every time we get to see each other.

5 Months

My little baby Eleanor is now five months...on her way to six...which is halfway to a whole year old! boo. time please slow down.
Not much new since last month. We got the exersaucer out and she LOVES it. and mommy loves it too because she can get some chores done around the house if you know what I mean:) She has been laughing a whole lot more these days. She is very ticklish. She also likes to smile and laugh at Izzy which is the CUTEST thing yet. I love to see them play together. Izzy is slowly warming to the fact that this baby is going to be around permanently. Last week we videotaped E laughing so hard at Izzy. and we couldnt figure out why! I will try to post it tonight on here. so fun!!! She has been rolling ALL over the place. Scott will put her down in her crib at bedtime and by morning she is nowhere near that spot in the crib. she LOVES her mimi and ra ra. Probably because they watch her for a whole day once a week. I would post more pictures here but I posted PLENTY on Facebook last week hah!
So far, Scott and I have taken over 2,000 pictures of that little stinker. geez.

4 Months

Yesterday was Ellie's 4 month dr. visit and she received an A+! It was so cute, it was like she was showing off to the dr. We laid her on the changing table, and immediately she rolled over from her back to her stomach, lifted herself up on her elbows and stared at him with her bright blue eyes:) She weighs 13lbs 11oz and is 23 and 7/8in long. She also took her shots like a champ. I didn't look. I just can't. Poor thing.
Right now all she does is stick her fingers in her mouth. Any which way you can think of. And she likes to stick whatever she can hold in to her mouth as well. Her favorite book is the crinkle book which she likes to smother her face with. And she loves her "lovie"(a little bear blanket). She gets so excited when she sees it. She will sqeal and then try to eat its head. hah! She also had her first trip to the lake last weekend. It was really fun. I think she liked it even though her lifejacket swallowed her.

Mother's day was wonderful. Scott got me the SWEETEST card. Enough said. And flowers. And a Coldstone Creamery gift card. AND he let me get a pedicure:) It was a mini version of my birthday. We also ate mothers day brunch at PV after church with Scott's parents and my parents. It was so nice for both of us to be with our mothers and the food is always sooo good. I am at work right now and all the pictures I wanted to post are on my computer at home. So I will do a picture post later. Happy Wednesday!

Scott watched Ellie monday night while my sister and I went out. Just the two of us. And it was really nice. I love my sister by the way:) Yes we fought when we were little and we've had our differences but the last couple years have really brought us closer. Makes me want another little girl just so Ellie can have a best friend like Sarah has been to me. So, back to Monday night. We went and saw a movie. I made sure to pick one that Scott wouldn't want to see. So we saw the Back Up Plan. I'm not a huge fan of J.Lo., but the movie was cute and romantic and pretty funny (and a little unrealistic). Definitely not meant for a guy to see. We had so much fun, but I found myself missing Ellie's "bedtime routine". We lay her on the changing table to get her ready for her bath and do silly stuff like blow bubbles on her stomach and watch her laugh. Then Scott gives her a bath (her fingers are ALWAYS in her mouth during bathtime). Then we sometimes read her a story. We feed her and since she's so happy after all this, we usually play some more before putting her to bed:) So Scott sent me these pictures while I was gone. Now, mind you, these pics were taken from an iphone and not our nice fancy camera. But I thought they were so cute:)

Checking in...
Before I had Ellie, I would always hear moms saying how fast their kids grew up and how sad it was. I would have thoughts to myself like, "don't you want them to grow up fast so you can have your life back the way it was before?" I take back every.single.one.of.those.thoughts. You have no idea how great having a child of your own is until you have one. seriously. And Ellie is only 3 months. It can only get better! I love this stage too. She is so interactive...especially with daddy. Which, to be honest, makes me a little mad. Don't get me wrong, I love it that they have that special relationship. But why does she laugh and giggle and light up EVERYTIME she sees Scott when I'm the one staying home and taking care of her day in and day out?? She has also become the little talker. And I think it's the cutest noises I've ever heard. She mainly does it in her bouncy seat and on her changing table. About a week ago, she rolled over from her back to her stomach!! SO fun to watch:)
The only down side to her turning three months is that I have gone back to work. It's only two days a week. One day my mother-in-law watches her and the other day my mom watches her. I know. It could be so much worse. But the first week just killed me. I'm working on the third week and it's still hard but getting so much better. I just thank the Lord for every time I have with Ellie. There really is something to a mother spending time with their children. It is so much more fulfilling than working outside the home. I know some women HAVE to work full time and I just empathize with them. I have a lot to be thankful for. For all of you SAHM's out there I know you would like a break from your kids but just be thankful the Lord has allowed you to directly invest in your children's lives. every day. I will never again ask a mom "so, what do you do all day?" hah!
Just wanted ya'll to get a sneak peak of Ellie's birth announcement. Since I was so late(woops:)), I just put a picture of her at three months on it. I can't wait to get them in the mail and start sending them out!

NYC
Last week I went to NYC on business. I was tentative about leaving the little one, but once I got there I realized that I really did need a short break. And Scott was sweet to watch her while I was gone. I got to stay in times square, eat some good foods, work of course, shop and go see mama mia! One of the nights I went to a work paid/sponsered outing to Comix comedy club. Guess who was performing that night? Judah friedlander from 30 Rock and Jim Gaffigan!! Scott and Eleanor met me at the airport when I got home. Eleanor got a huge grin on her face when she saw me. The sweetest thing!!!
