French Doors!
Just a little update on the progress of our remodel...I think I got the most excited about the french doors going in:) I like how it makes the room so much lighter...it really is starting to feel like a new room/bathroom. The first pic below is the only "before" picture I could find. Our next job is sanding and painting the walls, and picking out tile for the bathroom.

Before and In Progress...and some Sheetrock.
I thought I would just give a little update on the house:)Scott and I are so thankful for my dad. He has done most of the work on our house and to mom for all her help too. We've really enjoyed spending time with them. We are not done in any of the rooms which is why the "after" pictures are really "in progress" pictures:) We are staying in the guest bedroom right now while we finish our master bed/bath. More pictures on that to come in the next couple weeks so stay tuned! Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated...I am having a hard time deciding what to do with the bookcases in the living room!

Catching Up!

Sorry I haven't posted in a while! The past couple months were very busy month for Scott and I. Between his family and my family, we had seven birthdays, an annivsary, Thanksgiving with my family, three Christmas parties, a wedding reception, and Christmas with his family and with mine. Needless to say, we enjoyed it all but are ready for a little time to breathe and recover:) And then back to house remodeling...Please visit Kari's blog for Thanksgiving pics. I couldn't have done a better job of posting them.
With the new year ahead of us, I have been thinking about change. This past Sunday's sermon really hit home. It was simple but so good. The title was Resolutions that Matter. The scripture was I Peter 1:13-17.
Prepare your mind for action- He compared this to an event or thing you get really excited about and anticipate. God wants us to constantly be excited about heavan as our final destination.
Guard your mind-Be sober. God calls us to lay aside the things of the world that "intoxicate" us. They can influence us to make decisions we will later regret, or cause us to not make decisions we should have made.
Live you life as a reflection of Christ- It starts with making sure we aren't grieving the Holy Spirit. Do you feel convicted when you do something wrong? The illustration he gave was when snow is on the ground and the sun comes out, there is a reflection that is so bright. We need to make sure we are living clean lives so much that others can see a reflection of the Son in us.
