The days are flying...

Well yesterday marked 32 weeks and I cannot believe we will be meeting our sweet boy in just 8 weeks! I guess it did help to have Thanksgiving, Christmas, and a whole lot of birthdays to celebrate in between to keep me distracted:) But now I am stressing because little man does not have a room ready yet! With Eleanor, I was seven months along when I had my big baby shower. So she had a lot of her stuff early on. And I think her room was ready in PLENTY of time. Poor little man...I guess that's just what happens with #2. Or I am just slacking and need to get a move on!

So we are moving Eleanor into our guest bedroom since it is bigger and we can store some of her toys in her room. And little man will be moving into the nursery. Here lies the problem...our guest bedroom is our storage/junk room. So the past couple weeks, we have been cleaning out that poor room. Geez...I had NO idea how much stuff I was packing into that room. We ended up taking several garbage bags of clothes/household items to the goodwill and several garbage bags to the dump! Shew! I can now say it is totally cleaned out but what a job! Then this weekend, Scott painted the room.

E's new room

I think it is becoming a little more real...Eleanor is moving into another room because we are making room for another FAMILY MEMBER...wow. Next up is actually moving Eleanor over and getting her room functioning...then I can focus on the baby room.:)

In the meantime, we have decided to remodel our laundry room...yep you heard me right...REDO. Are we crazy?? I think so. It is the last room in our house that needs some tender loving care and we would really like to get the bulk of it done before baby comes...yes we are crazy.

We have also been enjoying being a little family of three for a little longer...this has included trips to chick-fil-a and shipley's. I also took Eleanor to her 2 year dr appt a couple weeks ago. She is 50th for height, 90th for weight...A healthy little girl!

the morning of her birthday party...she got a whole doughnut with pink frosting on top AND chocolate milk...she loved it:)

So, as you can see, time is a flyin'...let's hope it slows down just a little so we can get everything done:)

2 years old

How did she go from this...

to this...

to THIS...

Words can not possibly describe how much we love this little girl and her carefree personality. She is just a happy girl. Although, I can tell her little two year old attitude is beginning to surface:) She likes to say no a lot, and is becoming more vocal about the way she feels about things. But there are so many positives. She is a total copycat right now. If I say a word, she will try to say it too. No matter how complicated. And it can be so funny sometimes! Her vocabulary is amazing right now. I don't know specifically how many words she can say because she is always saying something new. She understands most everything I say and I've noticed how good of a memory she is starting to have. I just love watching her get excited about the little things in life. It is probably my favorite thing about her right now. She loves anything that pops up in the sky...airplanes, moon, stars. She loves Elmo. Anything Elmo. She loves her lovey and is still very attached to it. She absolutely loves to sing. I think she will be a singer. Just a hunch.:)

She will be going through a lot of changes this year with a baby brother entering her life. I think she will be a really great big sister. She is already such a little helper...getting her diaper for me, trying to wash me with the dishtowel(hah), washing herself in the bathtub...putting trash in the trash can. My main prayer this next year for her is that she really starts to understand who Jesus is. Because as much as I love her, God loves her infinitely more.

"How difficult it is for me to fathom your thoughts about me, O God! How vast is their sum total! If I tried to count them, they would outnumber the grains of sand." Ps. 139:17-18

I am so thankful to the Lord for giving Eleanor to us. She makes me a happy momma. She truly turned my world upside down when she was born. I know I am going to have some difficult times ahead with having two kids and the adjustments, but my love for her will never change. She will always be my baby girl.

2nd time around...

Oh what a different life you lead when you are pregnant. It seems like the first time around, you are just giddy with excitement...anticipation...newness. Well, the second time around...well, its....different. Why, you might ask?

- You know, you REALLY know what's coming...i.e. sleepness nights, crying, nursing, not knowing what the poor thing wants...
-Big one here--you already have a child to take care of. On top of the other child you married that you take care of;) jk...
-The child you have, that still wants to be carried, is HEAVY...thus back pain starts right away.
-You are constantly bending over to pick up toys, messes, ect...while pregnant=not fun and more back pain.
-You start showing way earlier...and really who wants to pull out their maternity clothes at THREE months!
-Fatigue is not as they say...first trimester and last trimester. It's first, second, and third!
-The motivation to exercise is gone...who needs it when you are chasing a toddler around the house!
-You have to consider more variables about how your life is going to change...adjustments for not only me and hubbs, but little miss priss too.
-You are ready to meet sweet baby a WHOle lot sooner than you were ready with the first....even though the sentiments over sweet girl are starting to set in.

So, at 28 weeks, this is what I pray...Dear Lord, I absolutely can not wait to meet my sweet little boy. Please please please let him come on his due date...I will even take a few days early;)
